From the Friends of Seattle Public Library blog
Hello friends!
In June, I posted PR by the Book’s
summer reading plans. But only part of them. So now, part 2!
You may have noticed I read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. (And am still disturbed by it.)
I’m reading In the Shadow of the Banyan by Vaddey Ratner and Panorama City by Antoine Wilson. (Reviews to come soon!)
What else is PR by the Book reading now that we’re halfway through summer?
Elaine: “I plan on digging into Diana Galbadon’s Outlander series. I’ve had several people recommend it to me in just the month of June alone! It should take me through the end of summer and well into my maternity leave.
I am a big supporter of your choice to read The Happiness Project. One of my faves!” (And thanks for the reminder…I actually haven’t started it…or purchased it, even.)
Babs: “I just finished the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy and Diary of a Mad Fat Girl, which was hysterical! I have a new one on my Kindle which I am going to start soon: Thank You for Flying Air Zoe by Erik Atwell.”
What’s on YOUR reading list? Any recommendations?

If we haven’t posted enough on our excitement for Michael Wigge’s national appearances, this might do it. Of course, the most exciting part of moments like this, as it would be for anyone, is getting to see Wigge sitting next to celebrities we’ve only dreamed of meeting and exclaiming to whoever is in the room [...]

Great advice in a guest post by Tamara Dever of TLC Graphics: A book’s cover and spine have a great deal to do with whether potential buyers investigate a title further. A good cover design can be critical to your book’s sales success. This is true even for those not planning to sell in traditional [...]
