Stephanie Ridge combines more than 15 years of experience in media, publishing, and publicity to lead creative, full-service PR campaigns for a variety of genres. A big-picture person with a knack for the smallest details, she enjoys the challenge of finding and connecting authors with their
audiences. Whether a breakout or established bestseller, she believes each approach should be as unique as its author. That’s why there’s nothing cookie-cutter about the campaigns she directs.
Over the years, her carefully-crafted approach has resulted in stories with staying power in many outlets, including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Associated Press, Outside, BusinessWeek, Inc. Magazine, Fast Company, Men’s Journal, O, The Oprah Magazine, Publishers Weekly, Huffington Post, NBC’s “Today Show,” CNN, FOX News, NPR and SiriusXM radio.
Stephanie came to PR by the Book in 2009 by way of Phenix & Phenix Literary Publicists where she served as Manager of Media Relations. Before joining Austin’s literary scene, she served as Senior Publicist at WaterBrook Press, a division of Random House (now WaterBrook Multnomah).
She earned a B.A. in journalism from Texas A&M University and has also worked on the creative and production sides of public television, college football cable TV coverage, and broadcast advertising.
A former military brat, she craves mountain adventures and California wine country visits, but also enjoys putting down roots in beautiful Austin, Texas. Elena Meredith has managed hundreds of publicity campaigns for authors and publishers. She loves sharing impactful stories and has launched books for novelists, educators, psychologists, scientists, alpinists, surfers, environmentalists, professors and even a poop-recycling Biospherian. She believes books are the best medium for educating people and promoting empathy and understanding of one another. One of her proudest accomplishments as a publicist is helping an author launch his books, literally, to space, establishing the reading program Story Time From Space.

Her creative, thoughtful messaging and quick pitching has earned placements in a variety of media outlets across print, online, television and radio, including CNN, Entertainment Weekly, Foreword Reviews, FOX News, Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times, MindBodyGreen, Nerdist, Parade, Parents, Popular Science radio, Publishers Weekly, Psychology Today, Rolling Stone, Shelf Awareness, Sirius XM, USA Today, Vanity Fair, Variety, Village Voice, VICE, Washington Post, Working Mother radio and more.
