Thanksgiving is just around the corner, folks! Whether you have extended family flying in from out of town, your college kids are heading back home, or you’re inviting your neighbors from down the street, you’ll want to ensure that your table is well-fed and happy.

With just a few days left until the big day, now is a good time to get a jump start on planning your menu. Compile a few key recipes, ask your guests for their preferences, then make one master checklist of what you will need.

Here are five Thanksgiving cookbooks to check out for a variety of recipes that will accommodate any type of guest:

1.) Williams-Sonoma Collection: Thanksgiving by Michael McLaughlin
You just can’t beat the classics. Nothing sounds better than a roasted turkey with herb butter, matched with a side of bacon and garlic mashed potatoes.

2.) The American Harvest Cookbook: Cooking With Squash, Zucchini, Pumpkins, and More by Rosemary Moon
This cookbook is perfect for those looking to make dishes from locally grown foods, like pecan risotto with squash and baked gem squash with parmesan cream. YUM!

3.) Vegan Holiday Kitchen by Nava Atlas
This cookbook contains recipes like butternut squash with onion stuffing and sweet potato and edamame shepherd’s pie; perfect for your vegetarian guests or if you are just looking for healthier options.

4.) Good Eating’s Thanksgiving Recipes: Traditional and Unique Holiday Recipes for Desserts, Sides, Turkey and More collected by the Chicago Tribune
If you are looking to stray away from traditional Thanksgiving dishes, this is the cookbook for you. With recipes like red wine braised oxtails and almond mandelbrot, you can count on being inspired to try something new.

5.) Cool Thanksgiving Dinner: Beyond the Basics for Kids Who Cook by Lisa Wagner
Do you have a little helper in your household? This cookbook contains kid-tested recipes that teach young chefs the basics to whipping up the perfect Thanksgiving dinner. These recipes are easy to make and will satisfy the youngsters at dinnertime.
